Everest Cycling Challenge

snowboarding olympics

Everesting is a mountain climbing challenge that requires riders to climb a single hill continuously, unlike other challenges. You climb the same hill and descend the same hill until you reach Mount Everest. This activity is also known as vEveresting.

The Everesting Challenge was introduced by the Hells 500 group. It started when a group of adventure junkies brainstormed the idea for an endurance event. One of the members of the group, Lachlan Morton, is an EF Pro Cycling Team member and rider. He set the world record in the Everesting Ride for the fastest Everesting ride. He also holds records for fastest Everesting ride using FSA/Vision equipped CannondaleSuperSix Disc and fastest ride on Metron40 disc brakes.

It is very popular among cyclists as well as other athletes. There are fewer vehicles involved, making it safer, and the weight is carried in short segments. The Everesting Challenge is used by some riders as an endurance race. Some choose to run on a treadmill. Some people have completed their run at home during a quarantine.

Nima Jjavaheri established a new Everesting World Record in March 2022. He reached an elevation of 38.703m along La Croisette, France. He ran at a weight of 260 watts. This is about the same power as running a marathon. He also achieved the longest "free vertical climb" of any Everesting rider.

Everesting is not difficult at all, even though it may seem impossible. Zwift can help you make your own Everesting journey, or you could ride your favorite hill. Strava, or other GPS tracking devices can be used to record your achievement. You can also do the Everesting on your trainer on a gravel road.

The Everesting Challenge also known as vEveresting (or vEveresting), is a rare individual endurance race. The COVID 19 global pandemic inspired it. Worldwide, less than 9,000 people have ever attempted Everesting. The official Everesting website lists all Everesting-related achievements. You will also find the official Mount Everest Challenge records and the Everesting Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame contains the names of the most prominent Everesters as well as the length of successful Everestings and the shortest Everestings.

George Mallory is the great-grandson and explorer of Britain, and one of their earliest everesting attempts. Mallory completed an Everesting with a bicycle. He reached 8,848 meters, which is the equivalent height of the world's highest peak. Mallory safely returned home in 1995. Mallory also cycled Mount Donna Buang in Australia's Mount Everest range and held the record of the fastest Everesting ride.

Another Everesting may be done virtually on Zwift. Your trainer can also help you. If you are interested in participating in a physical Everesting there are many mountains available throughout the Hudson Valley.
