Sandy Ridge Trailhead Access also includes two connecting trails. They will connect the existing parking area to a bicycle hub. A bus stop will be situated at the trailhead to make it easy for riders to get to the trail. There will be sculptures and art. Some of the sculptures may feature sculptures of mountain bikers and native animals.

The Sandy Ridge Trail System is located west of Mount Hood and offers many different experiences for riders. There are 15 miles of machine-built as well as natural trails.

The system is situated on top of a 70-million-year-old kaolin clay layer. Before the Sandy Ridge Trail System was developed, the area was a wetland. It returned to its natural state eventually. When the Trail System was first constructed, it was part of a land exchange. The land exchange enabled the development of a solid block of public land.
